Lee Adkison received his AA degree in Panama City, FL while working at the college radio
station. After moving to Orlando, the University of Central Florida gave him the opportunity to
pursue the field of video production while seeking his Bachelor’s degree. One of Lee’s
professors recommended an internship with Murray Teleproductions which had recently
become Adrenaline Film Productions. After two successful internships, he was hired and
began an enriching journey spanning over 30 years with the company. One of the stand-out
projects in his career involved traveling to the various wonders of the world to capture wild
sound. While the rest of the crew created their amazing images, Lee was often free to explore
what wild sounds the area offered, recording stereoscopic audio on DAT. As an audio tech for
Adrenaline, he often helped with lighting and, over the years, moved on to work with another
natural element, eventually becoming Adrenaline’s Gaffer. Lee prefers the outdoors and
nature’s many environments. As a result, his hobbies include sailing, kayaking, hiking and, if
possible, reading in a cozy spot. Two important bits of advice have helped Lee along the way:
communicate – don’t be afraid to ask if you don’t know, also, never stop learning – with
knowledge comes options and options are always valuable in production, as well as in life.
